Joan A. Johnson, 67, died peacefully at The Cedar Crest Nursing Center on September 5, 2017 in Cranston, RI.
She was born on September 3, 1950 in Brooklyn New York.
Joan was the daughter of the late Janet Grant and the late Booker T. Johnson.
She is survived by her brother Corey Loach and her four daughters Celeste Freeman of Providence, Dorothy Johnson of Providence, Tiffany Hinton of Brooklyn New York, and Theresa Hinton of Providence.
Joan also leaves behind 21 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.
Besides her mother and father; she was preceded in death by her two brothers Booker T. “Uncle Butch” Johnson Jr. and Noel A. “Uncle Tony” Johnson.
Joan A. Johnson was also called “Ma” or “Grandma Joan” to everyone who knew her.
She loved to play Bingo and scratch tickets.
She will be greatly missed by all.
