Vanessa Charlene Fortes , 69, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed on 07/09/2023. Vanessa was born on September 13, 1953, in Providence, RI and was a long time resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia following the passing of her late husband, Antonio M Fortes. She worked as a seamstress, volunteer, & also a domesticated homemaker. 

She is survived by her only daughter, Toni L Hazard of Norfolk, Virginia. Her grandchildren Antonio Fortes, Providence; Deneisha Chandler & Derick Hazard Jr., of Norfolk. Her great-grandchildren Antonio Hazzard; Amarie Brown; Noah Chandler; Harlem Torres; & Nai'leia Hazard. Her siblings Monica Ledo, Trienda Lighten, Ricardo Ledo, Michael Snead, Maria Snead, &Corey Snead. 

She is preceded in death by her parents: Father Charles Ledo & Mother Catherine Medina. Sisters Bertha Ledo & Chareese Snead. Brothers: Charles Ledo , Keith Ledo & Step-brother Richard Snead. Her great grandson Derick Hazard, III 

Vanessa leaves behind a family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces ( bridget who was her favorite), nephews, & friends. She was a firey person who was passionate about everything that she did. She loved everyone who she came into contact with. She will be greatly missed & forever loved.
