Vanessa Bridges

Vanessa Lee Bridges born April 6, 1956 in Goldsboro, North Carolina  and went to rest peacefully at home on April 19, 2023.  Born to Carol Ann Vinson and Cleveland Lee Spruill,  Vanessa moved to Providence, Rhode Island in 1964, where she was then raised by her father,  Cleveland Lee Spruill and her stepmother, Irene Spruill.

To cherish her memory is her husband, Kenny Lee Bridges, Her daughters, Tanika Lee Bridges, Keisha Renee Bridges, JaQuay Ann Bridges and Alanda Aldridge (Neil), her grandchildren, Tyrin Bridges, Katrice Bridges and Ahsyanique Bridges and Jiy’zell Bridges, her great grandchildren, Amir Bridges, Amillianna Bridges and A’brielle Sanchez,  her brothers, Emery J. Page, Quinton WIlson and her sisters, Linda McFarland, Falon Cherry.

Vanessa’s memory will also be cherished by a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements by Bell Funeral Home, 571 Broad Street, Providence, Rhode Island on Saturday May 6, 2023.  Visitation hours are 4-6pm with funeral service to follow at 6-7pm.  Repass to follow the funeral service at 7:30pm, location of repass will be announced at the service.

I would tell you that I'm angry but who is there to blame.

God wanted you to join him, for he only takes the best,


he could see that you were tired and you needed now to rest.


Your up there in the heavens and your free from all the pain 


I hope your meeting family passed, to many now to name.

Please look after my mom, God keep her safe until I get there

Until my life is over, give her all your love and care.
