Roxanne Marion Howard, 67, of Riverside, Rhode Island, passed away on January 23, 2026. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Roxanne was the daughter of the late George Howard Jr. and the late Joyce (Griffin) Howard.
She was a graduate of Pilgrim High School, class of 1976. In her younger years, Roxanne worked as a model and later as a bank teller.
Roxanne had a deep appreciation for beauty in all its forms. She loved fashion, music, and the written word, and would pour her heart into poetry where her spirit found expression. Roxanne was a woman of strength, elegance, and warmth.
She is survived by her lifetime love and partner, Daniel Kelley, and was a proud, loving mother to their two daughters, Chantae Howard of Bangor, ME, and Caresse Howard of North Providence, RI. She is also survived by her sister, Diana Reels of Rumford, RI, and her eight beloved grandchildren: Aaron, Malia, Heaven, Reuben, Kymani, Elijah, Javien, and Ikaia Howard. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will forever carry her memory with them. Roxanne was preceded in death by her sister, the late Novella Pettiway Daniels, and her brother, the late George W. Howard III, whom she now joins in eternal rest.
Roxanne will be remembered for her gentle soul, creative spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Her light lives on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her memory will remain a blessing, guiding and comfort for those she loved.
