Rosalyn married her husband and had two children, returned back to Providence where she has stayed for the last 40 years, while being a staple of her community.
She became the director of Refocus Group Home where she enjoyed and valued her time working with adults with intellectual disabilities. This is where she provided guidance, while teaching her own children the values of treating all people, no matter what kind of disabilities a person may have, with respect and love.
After leaving Refocus, Rosalyn’s career continued to grow. She proudly worked at the Providence Housing Authority, The Welcome Arnold Shelter and the Urban League, as the House Manager of the Safe Haven assisting the homeless population.
Rosalyn, however commonly known as, Roz or Aunt Roz to those around her was endeared and beloved. Anyone that took time out to speak to her, would be blessed by her laughter, advice and open heart.
