Nerlande Pierre Obituary

We are gathered to celebrate the beautiful life of Nerlande Pierre, lovingly known as Nickita a devoted mother, daughter, sister, caregiver, and friend whose presence touched the hearts of so many.

Nickita was the loving mother of two beautiful children, Elijah Pierre and Esterlina Pierre, whom she loved deeply and wholeheartedly. She was the beloved daughter of Esther Cleophat and Marcel Pierre, and the cherished sister of Marcel Pierre Jr. and Emmanuel Pierre.

Nickita was known throughout Rhode Island for her incredible talent as one of the area’s best braiders. Her hands had a gift for creating beauty, but her gifts extended far beyond her talent. She also worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a role that reflected the nurturing, caring, and compassionate spirit she naturally carried with her.

She had a way of making people feel safe, loved, and welcomed simply through a conversation, her laughter, or her unforgettable smile. Nickita loved having fun, she loved to laugh, and she loved bringing joy to the people around her. Her presence had a warmth that could be felt, and her natural gift of nurturing others made a lasting impression on everyone blessed enough to know her.

Above all else, Nickita was a mother. She made sure that Elijah and Esterlina always felt every bit of her love. Her children were at the center of her heart, and the love she poured into them will forever remain a part of who they are.

Today, we are not only mourning a life gone far too soon we are celebrating the love, laughter, memories, and beautiful spirit that Nickita shared with all of us. We celebrate the daughter she was, the sister she was, the mother she was, the friend she was, and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.

Though our hearts are heavy, we pray that God surrounds Nickita with eternal peace, comfort, and tranquility. May He also give strength to her children, her parents, her brothers, her family, her friends, and everyone whose life was changed by knowing and loving her.

Nickita, you were deeply loved, you will be deeply missed, and your love will continue to live through your children, your family, and every person whose heart you touched.

May you rest peacefully in God’s loving arms.
