Maurice N. Woods

Maurice N. (Hicks) Woods also known as Nasier M. Ali  of Providence RI., passed away on January 16, 2023 at Rhode Island Hospital with his family at his side.

Born on June 29, 1936, he was the son of the late Maurice H. Hicks and Ethel (Gibbs) Woods. He was also the step-son of the late Jesse J. Woods. 

Mr. Woods will be sadly missed by his children Mildred Woods, Wayne Woods, Margaret (Woods) Otero, Melvina (Woods) Ashe, Annette (Woods) Silva, Man Ali, Regina Ali, Nasier Ali, Kameal Ali Shelton, Alonzo Ali Shelton and Jeremy Hall. 

He leaves behind his god-child Aggie Reels, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Woods also leaves his brother Frank A. Woods of Pawtucket, RI. He was the brother of the late Barbara Clements, Elynor Louis Adams, Patricia E. James, Theodore (Teddy) Woods, James H. Woods and Donald Clark.
