Martin Trent McGill Harrison, 32, of Providence, Rhode Island, unexpectedly departed his earthly life on Friday, December 6, 2019. He is proceeded in death by his step-grandfather, Albert “Shotgun” Dorsey of Deltona, Florida, grandfather Winston McGill, his aunt, Linda Harrison of Worcester, Massachusetts and niece Leilani Godette.
Trent was born in Providence, Rhode Island, to the parents of Jacqueline Harrison and Martin McGill, November 2, 1987. He was the 2nd oldest of his siblings. He was reared by his paternal grandmother, Millie Dorsey and step-grandfather, Albert Dorsey. The family relocated to Florida in 1996. He received his formal education in Seminole and Volusia County. He was a member of the ROTC, the drama club, and played varsity football. He graduated from the Volusia County School System and he was very proud of his accomplishments.
After high school, he traveled to several different states before moving back to Providence, Rhode Island. He worked in several different occupations including cabinet making and recently was employed at Stop & Shop as a clerk.
Trent, as he was affectionately called, had his challenges in life but always believed that there was a God. He worked hard to establish himself and make a difference in this world. Trent was a very outgoing and friendly individual who loved his family beyond measures. He enjoyed sports, video games and was a health and physical guru with a deep spiritual consciousness.
