Mark Wayne Mack passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on July 22, 1966, in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the beloved son of the late Lillian Ruth Mack and Norman C. Mack.
Raised in Providence, Mark spent his high school years at Central High School, where he graduated in 1984. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to construction work and spent many years working at Rhode Island Buckle.
Mark had a passion for basketball, a talent for making others laugh, and an undeniable ability to connect with people effortlessly. His vibrant energy and infectious spirit made him cherished by many. He had a deep love for children and was known as the life of the party—any gathering became unforgettable when Mark was around. A man of many friendships and stories, his life was filled with challenges, but it remained genuine, full, and deeply meaningful. He lived with love, resilience, and an unwavering connection to those around him.
Mark leaves behind his four siblings: Sheila Mack, Norman Mack, Alicia Mack, and Tanisha Whittaker; his six children: Mark Ives, Will Ives, Brian Wilcox, Jason Palmer, Shayla Mack, and Khalid Mack; and his grandchildren: Jaylen Palmer, Brian Wilcox Jr., Yahaira Wilcox, Faith Ives, Will Ives Jr., Jayshawn Mack, Nybella Mack, Junelynn Ives, and J’Ceon Williams. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and his goddaughter Steph.
Now he is reunited in heaven with his parents and his three brothers—Michael, Ricky, and Cornelius Mack—as well as his godbrother. May his memory be a blessing, and his spirit continue to shine through all who knew and loved him. Long live Mark Mack.
