In Loving Memory of Marilyn Rodriguez
January 20, 1964 – September 18, 2025
With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of Marilyn Rodriguez, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on September 18, 2025, at the age of 61.
Marilyn was born on January 20, 1964, in La Romana, Dominican Republic. She spent her early years there, surrounded by family and friends, and completed her high school education before setting out on a journey that would take her across countries and through incredible chapters of life. After marrying, she moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and not long after, she made a new home in Rhode Island, USA. In the year 2000, she proudly became a U.S. citizen — a milestone that reflected her determination, resilience, and deep sense of purpose.
A woman of unshakable strength, Marilyn faced life’s challenges with courage and grace. She triumphed over breast cancer twice and bladder cancer once — her fierce will and fighting spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her. No matter what she faced, she did so with unwavering resolve and a heart full of love.
Marilyn found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She had a vibrant passion for sprinting, dancing, and watching sports. Above all, she cherished time with family and friends — engaging in countless activities, always bringing laughter, warmth, and energy to every gathering.
She was the proud and loving mother; she guided them with strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. In recent years, she was overjoyed to become a grandmother — a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Her bond with her grandchildren was filled with joy, affection, and a deep gratitude for the time they shared.
Marilyn’s legacy is one of resilience, love, and vibrant spirit. She leaves behind a family that will carry her memory with pride and love, continuing to draw strength from the example she set.
She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
