July 4th, 1930 - January 5th, 2024

Maria Duran Reyes has sadly passed away on January 5th, 2023 at 439pm in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She brought joy and happiness to the lives of anyone she met. She will be remembered for her kindness, her insurmountable love for her children and grandchildren, her courage, and her loving nature.

She was born on July 14th, 1930 in Dominican Republic to her parents Antonio Reyes and Eufemia Dotel. Mother of Milagros Vasquez, Belkis Duran, Elis Duran & her husband Byron Ochoa, and her youngest daughter Grisel Duran. 

Grandmother of Griselys Mena, Wilson Mena, Adrian Liranzo, Ada Genere, Grysmarie Genere, Ruben Muñoz, Joisbel Duran, Janeen Dixon ( children Jarvis Dixon Jr and Julissa Dixon), Albert Mendez,Janet Mendez (children Josiah Mendez Rojas, and Serenity Mendez Dent), Salomon Vasquez ( child Zariah Vasquez), Sheila Durden, 
Keila Griffin (child Aubrey Robinson-Durham), and Israel Vasquez.

Abuela 

Ella se ha ido
Se ha ido en los brazos de los ángeles
La tienen envuelta en sus brazos
Y acarician su rostro
Muy suavemente
Han susurrado su nombre
Hasta que ella abrió los ojos
y ella sonrió
Esa misma sonrisa suya
Fresca y suave
y ella se rió
Esa misma risa suya
tierna y dulce
Pura y  tan contagioso
Que hasta los ángeles lo sintieron
Y ella se fue
Acunada tan tiernamente
De vuelta a la niña
que ella una vez fue
Para talves nacer de nuevo
