Born to Clifford E. Goins and Rose M. Beatty is survived by stepmother Carmele M. Goins and three brothers Clifford E. Goins Jr., Justin L. Goins and Nicholas J. Goins. Two grandmothers Lucille Beatty and Gwen Ransom. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Marcus has been a lifelong warrior in his battle with Sickle Cell, he never complained and always kept a smile.
Marcus was so many things, he was a philosopher, a highly creative artist, a night owl, DJ, an emcee, a student of Islam and the five-percenter nation. He was a chef, a movie buff, a lover and pretty much a master at any craft he set his mind to. Marcus spent much of his time entertaining his family with jokes.
Marcus' passing was sudden and has caused the family great pain. We ask for your prayers at this difficult time as we come to terms with the loss of such a bright and caring soul. As we say our goodbyes, let us remember not with sorry but with gratitude for the time we were blessed to spend with such a remarkable soul.
He will forever remain in our hearts and be a source of inspiration to live each day with the same kindness and joy he brought to us.
