Mack Sackie Makor (72) of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away suddenly on November 19, 2023. Known to his loved ones as “Big Brother '' and Kna’togbah, He was born on August 11th, 1951, in Farvey, Bong County, Liberia, to Gormah Makor and Cammue Sanghapu Kartoe. He was the first child born to the couple.
Mack’s life was a testament of resilience and faith. A man of unwavering dedication, he worked at Meller Optics for 43 years. His coworkers ceased to be ordinary workmates and over the years they became his second family. His commitment in his faith led him to St. Paul's Evg. Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher, introducing many to its embrace. His unwavering support for Gbarnga Lutheran Mission Charity in Liberia showcased his dedication to uplifting communities and fostering a spirit of compassion.
Mack's legacy lies in his devotion to both immediate and extended family. His home was a beacon of Liberian warmth, welcoming all. His impact, filled with humility, kindness, and joy, will be dearly missed.
Mack is survived by his wife Jean, three sons Kartoe, Kwayah, Sackie, nine grandchildren, along with his siblings and many nieces and nephews.
In Mack's honor, a service will be held to celebrate a life of love, unity, and unwavering faith, detailed below. Until we meet again, his spirit lives on in our hearts.
