Mrs. Lucinda Cooper-Andersson
Sunrise: February 19,1942
Sunset: February 17, 2024
With deep sadness, the families of Andersson, Cooper, Tumu, Marquis, Gardiner, and Cummings bid farewell to their beloved matriarch, Mrs. Lucinda Cooper-Andersson. Lucinda graced this world with her presence on February 19, 1942, and suddenly departed on February 17, 2024, in Rhode Island, USA.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by her devoted children: Henrietta Andersson-Patterson (Ervin), Michael J. Andersson (Guerline), Jacqueline Andersson-Arnold (Bruce), Francis George Andersson, and foster son Marvin Leabon (Fanta). Her grandchildren, Eean Bradley Patterson, Michelle Jamile Andersson, Katalina Patterson (Dillon), Michael Jordan Andersson, Maya Jenee Andersson, Zaharra Andersson, Ciara J. Arnold, and great-grandson Brandon Jordan Andersson, mourn her passing deeply.
In addition to her immediate family, Lucinda is mourned by her remaining siblings: Mrs. Angelique Cooper Jones, Mrs. P. Teplah Tumu-Reeves, Mrs. Jestina Tumu-Johnson, Mrs. WiattaTumu-Weeks, Mrs. Welleh Tumu-Blay, Mrs. Victoria Tumu-Thomas, Mr. Urias Tumu, Mr. James H.R. Cooper (Evita), and Mrs. Harriet Melita Cooper-Cummings, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends both in the United States and around the world. Her only surviving Aunt, Annie Cooper-Marquis, also mourns her passing.
Lucinda is reunited in eternal peace with her husband John Pedro Andersson, her parents Mrs. Conwree Zekeh Tumu and Florence E.M. Brown-Cooper (aunty), and her fathers Mr. Henry Jenkins Roosevelt Cooper and James H. R. Cooper Sr (uncle). She also joins eleven of her siblings and her daughter-in-law Mrs. Letitia Smith-Andersson in the afterlife.
Known affectionately as Mrs. Andersson, Bae-Lue, Mama Lue, Aunt Lue, and Cousin Lue, Lucinda made a significant impact through her work in the banking sector in Liberia before her retirement, followed by her contributions to the retail merchandising sector in the US.
While her physical presence may be gone, Lucinda's spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace, forever cherished and remembered.
