Lenny Grace Obituary

Lenny Williams Grace was called home on August 16th, 2020 in Providence, Rhode Island at the age of 43.

Lenny is survived by his two daughters, Trinity Grace and Aaliyah Fortes; loving siblings, Adrian Silva, David Grace, Tenisha Grace Pierre-Louis, Brian Grace, Vanya Rollins, Steven Lawrence, Shelly Lawrence and his step-mother Claudia Isom. He is also survived by his loving aunts Pamela Grace, Mary Cameron, and Darlene Stephens. Additionally, his loving nieces Justyce, Briana, Naveah, Savana, and Jasani. His nephews Isiah, Brian, David, Deion, and baby Karter. Lenny also leaves behind many cousins who were like his brothers and sisters from Providence, Ohio, Baltimore, Washinton DC, Atlanta, and New Bedford.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, David Lawrence and Charlene Grace.

Lenny Williams Grace was born on August 31st, 1976 in Providence, Rhode Island to David Lawrence and Charlene Grace. He attended Hope High School, and pursued a successful career in music. He started showcasing his complex rhymes and intricate mixes to those around him early in his childhood. As a young adult, he was one of the founding members of the record label, New Realm Records in Providence. Under New Realm, he lead an iconic hip-hop group, Blank Fasiz & the D.U.N.A.T. Crew, under the moniker Afta-Maf. As a collective, they had released notable albums, such as Mind Power and We Came to Blaze.  

Lenny was an accomplished lyricist and producer that created timeless underground hip-hop records recounting his experiences throughout his lifetime. He was a charismatic and generous individual who loved his community and was passionate about helping those around him. His family knew him for his vibrant sense of humor, distinct laugh, and his ability to liven up a room. His friends will forever remember him for his music, love of pool, barbering, mentoring, and many good laughs. 

The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM at Restoration Church, located on 244 Lexington Avenue, North Providence, 02904. Pastor Anthony Pierre-Louis will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lenny’s life. Following the church service, the burial will take place at the North Burial grounds in Providence.
