Keon Anthony Starnes

Keon Anthony Starnes aka “Kas” of Central Falls, Rhode Island was born on December 2, 1981 in Newport, Rhode Island. Keon passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Providence, Rhode Island. 

Keon is survived by his wife of 15.5 years, Erica Starnes and their three beautiful daughters, Gissell, Jayleen, and Thalya. 

Keon is also survived by his mother Sonya Starnes Woods, brothers and sisters: Jerrell Starnes and his wife Jasmine, Harold Singfield and his wife Diane, Brian Pearman, Deadrick Miles and his wife Brittney, Jewel Singfield and her fiancé Thomas, Dominique Woods, Christian Woods, Ebony Singfield, Autum Ryan and her husband Antonio, Faith Singfield, Tyler Singfield, Melissa Ayala, Luis Ayala and his wife Evel, his mother-in-law Petra Medina. He is preceded in death by his father Harold Singfield. A host of cousins that were like brothers and sisters, and uncles Wendell Starnes, Vernon Starnes, Byron Starnes, and Lloyd Starnes, his grandparents Curtis and Lei Starnes and grandmothers Clare Woods and Sara Singfield, many nieces and nephews he loved dearly like his very own, and a host of family in Oklahoma and Memphis. 

Keon battled sickle cell his entire life.  Although he was in pain most of the time, he made sure to always have a smile on his face and made the best of his life with his wife and children. 

Keon graduated from Job Corp with an electrician license. He was a very loving man, beyond generous and cared tremendously about others. He was very giving and always wanted to help others any way that he was able to. To know Keon was to know inspiration, the love and kindness he spread was very admirable. 

Keon Anthony Starnes “Kas” was a die-hard Eagles fan! As Kas would say “We bleed green”! 

Keon’s family would like to send a special thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses that cared for him at the Cancer Center in Rhode Island Hospital. 

A burial ceremony will be set at a later date.
