Josephine Henry

On February 9, 2021, God called his beloved daughter, Josephine Henry, 97, to transition into eternal rest, where she lived in Fairport NY. She was the daughter of the late Gideon and Esther Beatty and to this union twelve children were born.  She was married for many years to the late Virdis Henry.  They had one child, Clara who is married to Sydney Bryant and two grandchildren Sabrina Bryant and Cory Bryant and one great grandson, Jordan Bryant.

Josephine loved the Lord!  She loved her many hats and fancy clothes.  But more importantly she loved being with her sister Lottie, her family and her Allen A.M.E. church family.  She was a dedicated servant of the Lord as she served on the church Missionary, Stewardess and lay for many years.  She also loved singing on the choir. And Clara would love to hear her mom sing No Not One. She would love making people laugh with the many funny stories she would tell.  She also had a good foot when driving!  Josephine will be greatly missed!

Besides her daughter, Clara and family, she leaves to mourn her four sisters, Lottie Wheeler, Esther Edmond, Hazel Johnson (Arthur), Francis Russ and Lucille Beatty.  She had a Godchild, Juanita Bradley and many nieces and nephews. Siblings who were predeceased are Amy Fairweather, Elijah Beatty, Robert Beatty, Gideon Beatty, Marzella Simpson, Hagar Russ, James Beatty and McKinley Beatty.
