Joseph (Big Joey) T. Palmer Sr. of Providence, Rhode Island gained his wings and is now flying high with our dearly beloved family and friends above.
Joey was born March 28, 1959 to Joseph Thomas Raymond of Albany, New York, and Mary Fields of Providence, Rhode Island. He was former husband and cherished friend of Monica Jean Carter-Smith; Loving father to his son Joseph “Joey” T. Palmer Jr. and his wife Jessica Palmer; his daughter Kayla Clark; Proud grandfather of Jaidan, Symphony and Presleigh Palmer; Treasured brother of Angela (Penny) and her husband Russell Gonsalves, Arron Palmer, Lisa Palmer, Joell and her husband Jerome Brown & Milton Raymond. Joey is further survived by his loving Aunts Betty Palmer-Maynard & Joan Palmer-Drysdale; Uncle Mujahid Abdullah Lamar; his cousins Beth Palmer-Benton, Shantel Palmer, Michelle Silva, Cheryl John & Keith Raymond; and a host of beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
A 1977 graduate of Central High School, Joey was known for always having a warm smile on his face. He loved his family and extended family all the same. Everyone who knew him knows he had the biggest heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. The joy of his life was spending time with his children and his grandchildren.
