Janice L. Logan was born to the late John E. and Jessie Lee Brown on November 21, 1960 in Clearwater, Florida. Janice attended high school in Dunedin, Florida. In 1980, Janice gave birth to a beautiful baby girl whom she named Tiffany Nicole. Janice and Tiffany’s father, Rodney Bascomb, doted on her. In 1985, Janice decided to spread her wings and relocate to Providence, Rhode Island. Upon her arrival, Janice was smitten by a young man named Cephas S. Logan from Liberia, West Africa. They fell in love and she became his “southern beautiful bride.” From that union, another beautiful baby girl was born in 1995, Taylah Yardee. Janice immersed herself in the Liberian culture and built a multitude of friends from all over the world. She lived large, enjoyed life and thrived in Rhode Island. She was well known in her community and was especially compassionate to the elderly Liberian community. She was a member of Friends Association and was the first female American President of the club.
Her favorite past times were dining out and going to the casino. Janice worked as a solderer and continued to raise her family and became everybody’s Auntie Bay. In 2008, a medical issue necessitated an artery bypass on her right leg. That began the decline of her health over the next 10 years. Her illness never stopped her from enjoying and living life to its fullest with a smile on her face. She never complained. As a warrior, she fought back with vengeance until her untimely death on February 11, 2018.
She was preceded in death by one niece Telsea Abbott, one nephew Ojonda Miller and one sister Teresa Ann Martinez. She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband Cephas Logan of Pawtucket Rhode Island. Three daughters Tiffany Warren of Tampa Florida, Lovette Logan of Atlanta Ga and Taylah Logan of Pawtucket Rhode Island, son-in-law, Anthony Warren. Two grandchildren Tristen Bascomb and Tylin Warren of Tampa Florida. One aunt Millie Keith (Thomas), two sisters Theola Gray of Brandon Florida, Helen Gray of Safety Harbor Florida. Three Brothers Waymon Gray (Gloria) of safety harbor Florida, John Brown Jr. of Safety Harbor Florida. Oliver Brown of St. Petersburg Florida.
