James L. Garmon, 88, of Cranston, RI, passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2023, at RI Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances C. (Taylor) Garmon. James was born in Mobile, Alabama, to the late Laura (Lee) and Clifton R. Garmon. Sr.
James is survived by his children Jane Garmon, Clifton Garmon and Aleta Garmon, all of Cranston and his loyal companion, Tiny.
James is also survived by his siblings Florence Cooke and Clifton R. Garmon, Jr. of Mobile, AL. He was the brother of the late Elizabeth Sampson, Orzell Garmon and Louis Garmon. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
James was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the Second Free Will Baptist Church in Providence, RI.
