Harriet Elaine Wilkins, 77, gained her wings and was called home surrounded by her family on September 15, 2020. She was born on August 31, 1943 to the late Effie Lee Grant and the late Otis T. Scott.
She graduated from CCRI and Rhode Island College and worked for the State of Rhode Island for over 20 years as an LPN until she retired.
Harriet was the glue of the family. She would open up her home to anyone in need. She would tell it like it is even if it hurt, but it would always come from a place of love. She was the epitome of strength and nothing to mess with, because she would knock yo ass out in a heartbeat. She left an impression on many and will be sorely missed.
She will be remembered and deeply missed by her life long partner Irving Johnson of Cranston, 6 daughters, Lenora Mangum, Cranston, Leona Turner, East Providence, Leah Ayoola, Cranston, Linea Winters, Cranston, Veleka Wilkins, Atlanta, GA and Victoria Wilkins Johnson, Detroit, MI, 1 son, Samuel Stutts, Jr, Cranston. She also leaves 2 sisters, Virginia Kauffer, Phoenix, AZ and Chandra Brown, Gainesville, FL , 8 Granddaughters, Nikina, Melinda, Andreca, Joyce, Tomesha, Samantha, Deja and Trinity, and 3 Grandsons, Wesley, Tresean and Samuel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her laughter, honesty and love.
Harriet was predeceased by Grandchildren, Talesha, Iran, Ali, Great Grandson Joel Jr, Sister, Jean Morton, Brothers, Otis, Roddy, Delburt, Leonard and Gene Scott all of Rhode Island.
We will remember all of the good times. We have our matriarch watching over us! Fly high Ma!
