Glorita Jean Nunally
May 16, 1954 - December 9, 2023.
Glorita J. Nunally, age 69 of Wilmington, Delaware passed away from a sudden illness in the presence of her family and loved ones in her daughter’s home in Providence, RI on Saturday, December 9, 2023. She was the daughter of the late William Eugene Kinghouse and Edwina (Warren) Belcher.
Glorita graduated from Central High School in Providence, RI in 1972. She was known for her chic, classy and elegant style as fashion was her first love. She relocated to Boston, MA as she aspired to be a Seamstress to the stars. She fulfilled her passion locally as a notable Seamstress, a producer of her own local fashion shows, gracing pages of a local newspaper, The Boston Globe, where her authentic classy style was showcased.
Glorita was a mother first and prioritized her family through hard work and dedication to her businesses. She continued her craft as the owner of R&R fashions once she moved back in Providence, RI. She was one of the top selling sales consultant for Petra Fashions and Mary-Kay cosmetics.
Glorita then relocated to Wilmington, Delaware in 2009 with her husband, Richard Nunally, where she continued to thrive in her professional and academic achievements. At the top of her class, she earned her Bachelor Degree of Human Science from Springfield College in 2015. She had a natural passion for helping people and started volunteering at the Kingswood Community’s Senior Center in Wilmington, DE. Shortly after graduation she became the Program Director for Kingswood Community Center after school Literacy Program for at risk children K-6 in a low income urban community. After retirement, she worked part time for the Good Will.
Glorita was a former member of Holy Cross Church of God in Christ and Allen AME Church both of Providence, RI. She continued her faith studies with the Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witnesses of Wilmington, DE.
Glorita was preceded in death by
her husband Richard Nunally; Aunts: JohnnyPearl Kelly, HermanLee Warren; Uncles: Baldy Warren, Brady Warren, Winfred Warren; Siblings: Gelevatee Gibbs, Robert Belcher, Jerry Belcher, Evageline Richards, John Belcher, Carlisse Johnson; Step children: Reshod Atherton-Nunally, Rosetta Nunally
She leaves behind her children; Chantalina J, Belcher of Providence, RI , Marchaè A. Campbell of Providence, RI, Re’Nesha N. Nunally of Claymont, DE, and William E. Nunally of Providence, RI; step-son Randy Nunally of Crisfield, MD, her sisters Preneta Arrington of Thomasville, NC, and Lajune Gadson of Providence, RI, an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
