George "Pokey" Little passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 28, 2025, in Providence, Rhode Island. George was born in Cheraw, South Carolina. He is survived by his beloved wife, Robin Little; his daughter Cheryl C. Little (Colin); three sons, George Little III, Anthony R. Little, and Gabriel B. Little.
He is also survived by his aunts, Julia and Leslie, and his uncle, Kevin, all of South Carolina, as well as his aunts, Willie Mae, Edna Mae, Mary France, and Pearline. His chosen siblings, who were also his beloved in-laws—Roline, Dawn, and Tompy of Rhode Island, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Potter; his father, George Little Sr.; and his grandmother, Florence “Nuni” Johnson, all of South Carolina.
He was known for his warm spirit, his unforgettable humor, and the sayings that became part of his legacy: "I got two monies, oooooh yeahhh!" and "Where my dawgs at!" Pokey brought laughter and light to everyone around him.
A devoted husband, father, uncle, and friend, Pokey built a life rooted in hard work and heart. He spent his career in landscaping, where his dedication, skill, and pride in his craft made a lasting impact on the community. But above all, he will be remembered for the love and joy he shared with those around him.
He leaves behind a family who cherished him and a circle of loved ones who will forever feel his absence.
Loved by all and never forgotten, Pokey's spirit will live on in the memories he created, the joy he sparked, and the love he leaves behind.
