Emmanuel Akinjobi of Providence, RI born December 25, 1950 passed away on December 19, 2022.
Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria he was the son of the late Samuel and Janet Akinjobi.
Emmanuel traveled alone to the United States as a teenager.
Upon arriving he worked at any and every job he could to achieve his dreams of becoming a pilot and starting a family. While he did not become a pilot he did accomplish his dream of having the family he always desired.
Emmanuel is survived by Jerolene, his children Babatunde, Olanike, Ana, and Tatiana. Grandchildren Colby, Ryan, Ashley, Quandell, Tunasia, Xs'ance, Tunde, and Ja'nya. As well as several great grandchildren, neices, and nephews.
The family would like you to remember Emmanuel as a hard working, good man who provided for and protected his family with everything he had. He loved his children more than anything in the world. Emmanuel's work ethic drove him to extremes in construction, however he did not keep what he earned to himself. He generously gave it away to many in need and was often heard saying "If you help people, All mighty God will help you"
