Edwin Peña was born on August 29th, 1988, in Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Providence, RI and passed on January 12th, 2025.
Edwin was a father, brother, and son first and a hilarious pain in the behind second. We cherish
his memory with endless stories of adventures, jokes, and experiences that influence who we are today. He brightened any room he was in with his wit and smile. His light will forever shine in each of us and will continue to carry us out of the darkest of times, even now. Edwin made sure he never lost what made him so special to us. His love for his family and friends was unconditional and that’s what made our father, our brother, and our son so special.
Edwin is the light that reflects off our tears and smiles alike. He never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. Edwin’s impact on the lives of all those he’s interacted with carries on in the infinite stories he’s created in his 36 years with us on Earth. We are blessed to carry his stories that exemplify his kindness, compassion, and love within us.
Edwin left behind people he cherished and those that cherished him alike.
Edwin was survived by his mother Nereida Orsini, his father, Francisco Peña, his son Josiah Xavier Peña, his brothers Edward Peña, Zachary Peña, Alvin Peña and his sisters Franchesca Peña, Jeralyn Peña, Nicole Peña. He was also survived by his two grandmothers Maria Altagracia Nuñez and Felicita Aquino.
Edwin also left behind 10 aunts and 10 uncles as well as countless cousins and friends who all loved him dearly.
Edwin had an avid passion for sports and fashion. He played baseball and softball his entire life, since childhood. He was always working towards being his best self for those around him. He also loved music more than most. Edwin would be sure to liven up any occasion with his
favorites.
Edwin will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his love and memories will live on in his son and loved ones.
