Dignora Tolentino

Dignora Magaly Tolentino aka “Coca” of Providence, Rhode Island, 73, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 in Providence, Rhode Island.  She was born on June 1, 1946 in Sabana Iglesia, Dominican Republic. 

Dignora is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jose Tolentino and their five beautiful children, Dinorah Judy Tolentino, Jason Tolentino, Joseph Tolentino, Matthew Tolentino, and Jesus Tolentino. 

She is also survived by her sisters and brother: Lorenza, Elodia, Ycelsa, Yaniris, Clara, Maria, Marcia, Ada, Delsa, Damaris and Ramon. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Cristobalina Diaz and her brothers, Max, Julio and Luis.  She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Dignora worked for Federated Lithographers in Providence for over 15 years and then as a Daycare Assistant at the Salvation Army in Providence for over 5 years before retiring. 

Dignora battled Alzheimer’s for the past five years. She was strong willed but gentle at the same time. She was a very loving woman who loved caring and being around children.

She was one of a kind and her legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone she interacted with.

Burial will be held in private and a Celebration of Life Mass will be held at a later date.
