Diana Acevedo

With sadness we must unfortunately announce the passing of Diana Acevedo. Diana was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and much more. Diana passed away on August 3, 2026 in Providence, RI. She was 60 years old. She leaves behind three sons: Jason Diaz, Christian Josue Martinez, and Alexander Martinez.

Diana Acevedo was born and raised in Puerto Rico. Diana was the daughter of Concepcion Acevedo and Maria Salinas. Diana moved from Puerto Rico to New York, NY where she had her oldest son, Jason. She later moved to Providence, RI where she had her middle and youngest child, Christian and Alexander.

Diana Acevedo was an intensely loving mother and care taker. Diana always put the needs of her children ahead of her own. She always made sure they were loved and well taken care of. Making her children happy was Diana's greatest joys.

Diana also shared this awesome love with her extended family, friends, and church community. Diana cared for her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. The whole family traditionally gathered together at Diana's home for holidays and birthdays. She created a warm, loving environment for all. She welcomed family, as well as friends of the family, to stay with her in times of need. Diana also supported her elderly mother as a certified home care taker.

Diana maintained strong friendships and community ties. She kept up with friends from different stages of life, regardless of distance or time apart. Diana regularly attended church and graduated from her church's Bible institute.

Diana will be deeply missed by all of her loved ones. Diana was an angel sent down from heaven to bring light and love to everyone she encountered. Though it saddens us, she has returned home to the Kingdom of God.
