Conway Toliver Obituary

Conway W. Toliver, 96, went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2020. He was born in Exmore, Virginia. Conway received his education at the Exmore school system. Conway moved as a young man to Connecticut and later relocated to Providence, RI.

He was a loving uncle whose greatest passion was helping others. He was also known as “Big Red”. He loved everyone and was well known in his community.

Conway was a long time and devoted member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church until his passing. He loved to sing; it was his passion.

Conway W. Toliver was preceded in death by his son Conway W. Toliver Jr. He is survived by his nephew, Irving Toliver and a host of family and friends.

He will always be missed by all.

Poem

When I come to the end of the road

And the sun has set for me

I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.

Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little but not too long

And not with your head bowed low.

Remember the love that we once shared,

Miss me but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take

And each must go alone.

It’s all a part of the Master’s plan,

A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart

Go to the friends we know

And bury your sorrows in doing good

deeds.

Miss me but let me go!
