Cheryl Louise Johnson 63 of Providence, Rhode Island. Was called home on Monday, January 16th 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born December 26th 1959 in Providence, RI. She was the daughter to the late Mildred R. Johnson (Speaks) and the late Horace Johnson
Cheryl attended Mount Pleasant High School graduating class of 1978. She then worked for the Amica Insurance Company for several years. She later attended the ServSafe course at the AMOS House. She received her certificate and began working at Meeting Street School as a cook. She loved to have fun by going out to eat, listening to music, and spreading her love to everyone around her. Her favorite phrase was “I Love You”. She loved to smile and when she did, she lit up the room. Her daughter Mildred, & son Horace along with her grandchildren was Cheryl’s world. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them; she was a caring mother and grandmother.
Cherly leaves behind 2 children: Horace Stanley Johnson, & Mildred Rebecca Johnson. 5 grandchildren children: JunaishaJohnson, Cordae Riggins, Ta’Liyah Johnson-Young, Thaddeus Young Jr, & T’ani Young. 8 siblings: Patrica, Kenneth, Valerie, Diane, & Donald Johnson. Dhana Whiteing, Sandra, & Roger Watkins. And a host of nieces & nephews. Cherly is proceeded in death with her mother and father Mildred & Horace Johnson. And her 8 siblings: Chester J, Darrell J, William J, Ronald J, Arlene J, Joyce W, Deborah J, & Margaret W.
Cheryl fought her battle here on earth. Now, our Heavenly Father said come my daughter “in my fathers house are many mansions- I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:1-3) the battle belongs to me.
