Chelsea G. (Bans- Gomes) Georgalas

Chelsea G. (Bans Gomes) Georgalas, 84 of Governor Street in Providence, Rhode Island passed away peacefully on December 20, 2021 at home. She is the mother of Marquita J. Bans of Providence, and Russell B. Gomes of East Providence.
 
Chelsea was born September 23, 1937 in Providence, RI and was the daughter of the late George R. Gomes and the late Sylvia Bans. She was a high school graduate and a retired certified nursing assistant. Chelsea was an animal lover and took care of those she loved.
 
She is survived by her children, Marquita and Russell, her siblings Monica Gomes, Jan Gomes, Alice Gomes, Saul Gomes, and Helena Simmons all of Texas; Barbara Bans of Massachusetts and Cecilia Bessette of Colorado; grandson Stephen L. Bans of Florida, and several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
 
Chelsea was preceded in death by her sister Joyce M. Gomes.  She will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her.
