Carmen Lydia Ruiz Rivera  (1964-2025)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carmen Lydia Ruiz, who left us at the age of 60 years old in Providence, RI on March 20,2025.

Carmen was born in Bayamón, PR but was raised in Bronx, NY. She is the daughter of late Lydia Albaladejo and Angel Louis Ruiz, and she was known and called “Lilly” by family and friends.

Lilly was a devoted mother to Jason Reyes, Adilyse Rivera, Angelisa Ruiz, Christian Ruiz and Michelle Canini and grandmother to 12 grandchildren. She is survived by siblings Ivan Ruiz and Anthony Albaladejo, who will never forget the love and wisdom she brought to their lives.

Lilly was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She took special joy in being a grandmother. Her legacy of strength, resilience and independence will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. While we mourn her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she is at peace in the love and care of our Father God.
