       Caonabo Enrique Mercado 

Caonabo was born on August 27, 1927 in Bonao, Dominican Republic to the late, Theodoro Mercado and Mom whom passed when he was the age of 7. Then, raised by Stepmom, Virginia Mercado and Dad. Caonabo later married Ana Joaquin Feliciano along with her 3 children Luis E Perez, Elio Perez, y Simona Silverio. Together they had 3 more children Rafael Mercado, Ana Virginia Mercado & Ivan Mercado. Together, they have 13 grandchildren and 

9 great grandchildren. He is survived by one sister, Estella and has many nieces and nephews. In 1970, he traveled to Cambridge, MA for a better life for his family. Caonabo was family oriented and a hardcore Yankee fan. He was very passionate about baseball as this was his favorite hobby. He retired from Harvard University as an Assistant Chef. He passed on October 16, 2023 in the comfort of his home and is now joined with his late wife, Ana J Mercado of 69 years.
