With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Beverly Juanita Snead. She died due to complications from cancer on July 12th, 2024. Beverly was a beacon of love, a beautiful person who enriched the lives of everyone she knew.
Born to George and Dorothy Lewis, Beverly was a lifelong resident of Providence, where she met her husband and worked in banking for nearly 40 years.
She embraced life with joie de vivre, pursuing pastimes from bowling and travel to gardening and painting, but her childrenwere her greatest passion. A caring mother and doting grandma, Beverly was the heartbeat of her family.
We’ll remember her as a nurturing presence throughout our greatest triumphs and most trying struggles, a testament to the power of unconditional love and sacrifice.
She is survived by James Snead, her husband of nearly seventyyears, their seven children: George, Philip, William, Kenneth, Marcia, Eric, and Donald, over twenty grandchildren, and more than two dozen great grandchildren.
