Benedicta Torres De La Cruz

Benedicta Torres de la Cruz was born to Rosa Emilia de la Cruz and Juan Agustin Torres Rodriguez in El Fundo Villa Los Almacigos, Santiago Rodriguez on July 13, 1954, and passed away on Friday March 11, 2022 in her home on Benedict Street Providence, RI 02909. She was raised in a catholic family and believed in doing the greater good. In the Dominican Republic, she worked as a maid for many families where she learned to sow and perfect her cooking skills. Later in life she worked in various factories while living in the United States. Benedicta was the youngest of six sisters, Severina, Mercedes, Maria del Carmen, Reyes and Ramona. She was a sister to Pio, Alberto Genaro and Ramon. She was a devoted mother of two, Samuel David 41 and Leonardo Emilio 35. Benedict's life-long mission was to create a better standard of living for her children, she continued to strive till the end to fulfill this purpose with kindness and selfless love. Benedicta spread a caring warmth and gentleness in her heart and for this she will be missed.
