ARSENA ASHE

July 29, 1938 ❖ September 10, 2026

Arsena Ashe was born on July 29, 1938, and entered into her eternal rest on September 10, 2026, at the age of 88.

Arsena was educated in Providence, Rhode Island, and graduated from Hope High School. She was an Accredited Record Technician and Certified Coding Specialist, beginning her career at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and retiring from St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Arsena had a deep love for life and enjoyed reading, thrifting, and food. She was a loving mother, and her family meant the world to her.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Monterio and her son, Lauriston Ashe Jr.

She left to cherish her memory, her loving companion, Lauriston Ashe Sr., her sons, Randall Ashe and Curtis Ashe and her grandchildren, Lauriston Robinson, Randy Smith, Domonike Hicks, Yolanda Denson, Justin Adams, Marcus Denson, Douglas Denson, Ashley Ashe, Randall Edmonds, Isiah Thomas, Larissa Harris, Tyler Evora, Curtis King, Key-Shona King, Troy Gonsalves, Javonta Gonsalves, and Nicole Montgomery. Along with a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Arsena was strong and resilient. She loved us all deeply and will be greatly missed. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will remain with us forever.

Our angel has gained her wings.
