Ana Maria Woodrops, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded on Monday, November 23, 2020 in her residence of Providence, Rhode Island.
Ana was born on August 22, 1932 in San Pedro de Macrois, Dominican Republic to the late Olga Lambert and Alfredo Woodrops Linis. She was the 3rd of 11 children, six preceded her in death.
Later in life, Ana formed a union with the late Rafael Martinez and together they had 6 children. Ana worked hard for herself and her children so that they can have a better life. Ana was able to relocate to the United States on October 25, 1973 and was able to bring her children along.
Ana was an amazing woman. She loved to watch “Don Francisco” “Columbo” and “Walter Mercado.” She loved to play her numbers and feed the birds around her house. Ana loved to eat viejitos and Mc Donald’s.
Ana traveled every December to spend Christmas and New Years with her son, Meme. She was never afraid to speak her mind. She was always around her grandchildren and made sure she spoiled them every chance she got. She was always our “Abuela”
Ana Maria Woodrops is survived by 5 children: Ana Julia Woodrops (NY), Rafael “Candido” Woodrops (RI), Leo “Meme” Woodrops (RD), Martha Malave (FL) and Susana Woodrops (RI). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 35 great children and 1 great- great grandchild. We miss and love her so much!
