In Loving Memory of Ana Iris Gonzalez Soto (“Mita”)
Ana Iris Gonzalez Soto, lovingly known as “Mita,” born on February 12, 1942, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26,2026.
Mita was a woman of strong spirit, a loving heart, and a personality that could never be forgotten. She was known for her kindness, warmth, and the way she made everyone around her feel welcomed and cared for. She treasured time spent with her family, especially during holidays and family gatherings, where her presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to all who knew her.
Strong willed and stubborn in the very best way, Mita lived with strength, honesty, and character. Those closest to her knew that beneath her strong personality was a deeply caring woman who loved her family fiercely and unconditionally.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria A. Soto and Serafin Gonzalez, and by her daughter, Sandra N. Ginel.
Mita leaves behind her loving children: Rosa M. Oquendo, Richard Ginel, and Alma V. Turell. She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many other beloved family members and friends who will forever cherish the memories, lessons, and love she shared throughout her life.
Her kindness and spirit will continue to live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
