Alexander Effiong Ita Obituary

Chief Alexander Bassey Ita age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 5 , 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence Rhode Island. He was born on March 3 1946 in Calabar, cross River state, Nigeria, to late Effiong Edet Ita and Clara Bassey Ukpong Offiong. Chief Ita  began his Education attending primary school in Jos, Pleateau State where he obtained his certificate. When his mom left to study Overseas, he was taken to Sacred Heart School, Calabar, Cross River State to complete his Secondary Education, he was later taken to Lagos were attended Philips Technical School for Training Education, he traveled to Holland to complete his training program. He worked at Philips Company where he became the training manager since 1970 displaying a wonderful knack for solving problems and dedication, he moved to the United States in 1997, where he worked @ Fulford Manufacturing Company as a machine operator and also worked at Urban League. Chief Ita lived a life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family and also had the ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, He was a devoted Christian and  loved watching the Catholic and  Sports channels, he was a strong believer and defender of our Efik cultural Heritage. 

Chief Ita is survived by the love of his life and devoted wife, Chief, Grace Effiong Ita, sons Daniel, Patrick and Alexander Ita Jnr, Sister,  Professor (Dr) Elizabeth U. Henshaw. Of blessed memories are  daughter barika Ita (late), brother, Etubom Ekeng Ekpo Daniel Henshaw (late) brother,  Prince (Captain) Joseph Ekpo Henshaw (late) sister, Princess Silvia Epko Henshaw (late) and many Uncles, Aunties, Nieces, Nephews and Extended  family. He will be loved and deeply missed by friends and family.
