Seniya Mae Prudent

Seniya Mae Prudent, 8, earned her angel wings on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.  She was born in Providence, Rhode Island on July 17, 2009.  She is the daughter of Kenny Prudent and Kelly (Driscoll) Prudent.

Seniya’s loving and kind heart will live on with her parents, her two brothers, Damon Linhares, 18, and Jaedin Prudent, 12, her maternal grandmother, Patricia Driscoll, her dog, Sampson, as well as many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.  She is preceded in death by her fraternal grandmother, Lydie Prudent.

She was a third grader at John F. Horgan Elementary School in West Warwick.  Seniya loved school and never wanted to miss a day to see her teachers and friends.

In October of 2015, Seniya was diagnosed with a Ganglioglioma, a tumor located on her brainstem.  Since her diagnosis, she has spent many days at The Tomorrow Fund at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and at therapy appointments.  All of her doctors, nurses, therapists, other patients and their families became her second family.  She went to clinic weekly for her chemotherapy treatments and never complained once.  She loved going to The Tomorrow Fund and seeing everyone, playing, making arts & crafts, or getting treated to ice cream.

Seniya was an amazing little girl with a heart of gold.  She loved to play with her dolls, which she took everywhere with her.  She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, playing games, watching Netflix and spending time with her family.  She made a lasting impression on everyone she came in contact with.  She will be missed dearly by all.
