Ruth L. Dailey, 90, passed away on January 19, 2018 at her home in Providence, RI. She was the wife of the late Donald Dailey.
Mrs. Dailey was born in Providence on January 26, 1927. She was the daughter of Louis A. Cain and Irene Adams.
Mrs. Dailey was a cook at the John Hope Settlement House Daycare for many years. She also worked, for several years, in the City of Providence, Food Stamp Administration Office.
To cherish her memory, she leaves 3 daughters: Marsha McDowell of Cranston, Vanessa Dailey of Providence, and Tonette Dailey of Cranston, RI; 2 sons: Donald Dailey, Jr. of Pawtucket and Wayne Dailey of Lexington, KY. She was preceeded in death by 1 son, Todd Dailey, and 2 daughters, Donna Dailey and Terri Dailey. In addition, she leaves18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She is survived by one sister, Cleo Williams and preceded in death by 9 sisters: Betty Green, Barbara Almeida, Dorothy Maynard, Pearl Cain, Lillian Winston, Edie Webster, Irene Baker, Eunice Baxter, and Bernice Wilson; and three brothers: Lewis (Hot Sauce) Baker, Matthew Baker, and Henry Baker.
