Roque N Genao

Roque N. Genao, 81, of Prairie Ave., passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI on Monday, November 21, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 13, 1938 in Santiago, DR and the son of Nicanoa Genao and Felipita Fernandez.

He relocated from Santiago, DR to New York City and then moved to Providence, RI.

Mr. Genao worked as a Chef at Le Tran Bleu Restaurant in Bloomingdales in New York City for many years before his retirement.  He was a long-time member of St. Michael’s Church on Oxford Street in Providence, RI

Mr. Genao was the husband of Georgina Genao and they were married for over 21 years. 

Roque N. Genao leaves behind his wife; 2 children son Maximo Genao and daughter Joanna Genao Almonte; grandchildren Alex, Kaito and Kenki Genao siblings; nieces; nephews and many other family and friends.  He was preceded by his grandson Michael Genao. 

He will be missed by all.
