Ronda Monterio Buchanan

Rejoice for Ronda Monteiro Buchanan who was born in Providence, RI on August 20, 1967 to Pearl Monteiro and the late Rollie G. Walker.  She was called to Glory on November 29, 2018.

Before her illness she was a student at the Community College of Rhode Island.  Ronda was a manager at Ocean State Check Cashing for 15 years.  She also worked at G & J Jewelry for 11 years as a sample maker.

Ronda's compassion was for children and animals, she loved them and they loved her.  At family functions you would see Ronda running around and playing with the children until the music started playing.  Then she was on the dance floor. Anyone who knew Ronda knew she loved to dance.

We were truly blessed to have Ronda in our lives.  Ronda was preceded in death by her brother Frankie Monteiro.

Ronda leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Pearl Walker (David) of Raleigh, NC, her companion Lewis Duffie of Providence, RI, sister Michelle Monteiro of Providence, RI, brother Miguel Monteiro of Providence, RI, step-sister's Doreen, Donna and Darlene Walker of Providence, RI, step-Brother's Ronnie and Dwayne Walker of Providence, RI, and a host of relatives and friends.
