Robert Williams Obituary

Robert “Bob” James Williams, beloved husband, dad, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed into his eternal home on July 19, 2018. Bob was born September 21, 1944, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Thomas and Beatrice (Billingsley) Williams. He was joined in marriage to Judith (Judy) Marie Silva on November 24, 1983.

With a gift of encouragement, Bob empowered others to live in divine health and abundant life. He was committed to studying the Word and reading. Bob was an associate pastor and elder at the Cathedral of Life in Providence, Rhode Island, for more than a decade. He worked for 35 years as a supervisor within the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority. As a resident of Missouri for the last nine years, Bob became a Branson Professional Tour Guide and Branson Chamber Ambassador. In love and unity, Bob cared for others as a member of Faith Life Church.  Bob’s family, friends, and community deeply mourn his sudden loss, but are comforted in the knowledge of his deep relationship with Jesus Christ, and rest in the fact that we will all be reunited on the other side.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Beddow Williams and Tommy Eskridge; a son, Alfred Anderson Williams; and a son-in-law, Daryl Canada.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Judy Williams; two daughters: Ina-Robin Williams of Sacramento, California, and Ilena Williams of Baltimore, Maryland; a son, Robert (Genesis) Damien Williams of Salem, Oregon; two stepdaughters: Angel Canada of Riverside, Rhode Island, and Angela (Russell) Penny Gonsalves; ten grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and a beloved sister Addie Hill of Cranston, Rhode Island.
