Paula F. Ollivierre

Paula Frances Kirkland Ollivierre, 78, passed away on May 5, 2019 at Elmhurst Extended Care surrounded by her loving family in Providence, Rhode Island.  She was born on April 19, 1941 in Providence, RI.  Paula was the daughter of Howard Kirkland and Nora (Williams) Kirkland.  She was raised on the east side of Providence and attended Hope High School.  After graduating from Hope High School, Paula worked at Anson Jewelry Factory prior to going into the healthcare field.  She retired after nearly 35 years as a psychiatric institutional attendant at the Eleanor Slater Hospital (formerly known as the RI Medical Center / IMH) in Cranston, RI.  Paula lived her final years in the excellent professional and compassionate care of the staffs of Elmhurst Rehabilitation and Health Centers and Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island. She maintained her social butterfly gift even as Alzheimer’s continuously eroded her.  Paula Frances Kirkland Ollivierre leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter and fierce caregiver Mrs. Lisa Brooks (Wendell); sister, Rev. Dr. Linda Kirkland-Harris; ‘brother,’ Hilton Williams; niece Aria Kirkland-Harris; a host of cousins, grand daughters-in-law and friends.  She will be missed by all.
