Myrna Iris Maxie

Myrna I. Maxie, age 46 passed away suddenly in Greenville NC on October 5, 2017.  Myrna was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on March 21, 1971.  She's the daughter of Iris Y. Colon and the late Roberto Colon. She is survived by her husband Rodney Maxie and her loving children Kyle Colon and Deja Jones along with her step-granddaughter Janiya Wakely. She is also survived by her sisters Patricia Odom, Cynthia Arias, Cristina Irizarry and Veronica Dure, along with her nephews and nieces Shykeel Colon, Jason Colon, Casiana Tolson, Daymian Colon, Janessa Colon, Alfino Davis, Kenneth Irizarry, Kyaa Irizarry, Kylee Irizarry, Victoria Arias and Jovani Dure. Myrna also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Myrna received her bachelors degree at Rhode Island College as a registered nurse.  Myrna worked as a traveling Nurse and was loved by many of her patients and fellow coworkers.  Myrna had an impression on everyone she encountered with her smile, which was as bright as the stars.

She is truly one of a kind.
