Maria S. Villanueva, 87, better known as “Coca” lived a long and prosperist life. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 18,2018 in Providence, Rhode Island. She was born on June 31, 1931, in the small-town Irapuato Guanajuato, Mexico. Maria was the daughter of the late Soledad Villanueva and late Feliza Rojas.
She was a very hard-working woman and extremely dedicated to her family. She is survived by her daughter, Antonia Villaseñor, four grandchildren, Guillermo A. Arevalo, Jorge H. Arevalo, Juan R. Arevalo & Laura I. Arevalo, and 5 great-grandchildren.
She came to the United States 20 years ago, at the age of 67. Maria never forgot her culture or her family back home. She was an excellent cook and loved Mexican food, TV, and all desserts; especially chocolates. Although she was not a baptized Jehovah's Witness, she was a student of the bible who developed love for Jehovah, and believed firmly in the hope of resurrection. Maria was a very loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all.
