Leroy D. Francis

Leroy Francis Sr, 71, departed this life on Friday March 16th, 2018 in Providence, RI with his loving son by his side.
 
Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 10th 1946, he was the son of the late Leroy Francis Sr. and Mary J. Hopkins after moving to Providence in 1975.
 
Leroy Sr. obtained an associate degree in welding and in piano tuning.   
 
Leroy is survived by his sons Leroy D. Robinson and Justin Araujo both of Providence, RI., his siblings Arnetta Prout of Jamestown, RI, and the late Howard Banks.   
 
He also is survived by three precious Grandchildren: Leroy Robinson Jr., Melody Robinson, & Justin Jr. and also a host of nieces and nephews.  
 
Leroy Francis also played a musical instrument for many churches throughout R.I. And lets not forget his horn in which he named “Eloise”. Eloise went everywhere that Leroy traveled and belted out some incredible sounds that would have you in tears.  He was indeed a true horn player
