Joyce Marie (Addison) Shepard Dias

Joyce Marie (Addison) Dias of Providence, RI, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Roger Williams Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry Gary Shepard and the late Edwin Dias. Joyce was born on September 11, 1937.  She was the daughter of the late William L. Addison and the late Viola (Moriarty) Addison. 

Joyce worked for 25 years or more at Roger Williams Day Care Center.  She devoted her life to helping others and caring for her family.  She was the mother of the late Barbara and Henry Shepard.

Joyce is survived by her daughters Viola Buchanan, Dawn Addison, Gwenda Shepard and Henrietta Gail Shepard, her sons Alfred and Tyrone Shepard, Edwin and Mark Dias; four brothers, Richard and Ernest Addison, Donald and Gerald Suggs; three sisters, Virginia Walker, Barbara Gibbs and Elizabeth Wallace; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will forever cherish the love she shared with them.  Joyce will truly be missed by family and friends.
