Jerry Barnes

Jerry Barnes, 61, passed away on November 13, 2018 at Morgan Health Center surrounded by his loving family in Providence, RI.

He was born on February 9, 1957 in Goldsboro, NC.  Mr. Barnes was the son of late Theodore Barnes and late Rosa Smith.  He was the husband of Zemoria (Mitchell) Barnes whom he married in June 2018 after spending 27 loving years together.

Mr. Barnes served in the US Navy from 1974-1976.  He relocated from North Carolina to Rhode Island in 1981.

He worked for the United States Postal Service; the Rhode Island Veterans Administration Hospital and Raytheon Company.  

Mr. Barnes will be affectionately missed by his wife, Zemoria Barnes, children, Veronica Barnes, Tinisha Michell, Lonnie Mitchell, Justin Norton, brother, Reynold Barnes,  sister, Ann Tyner, grandchildren Zamiyah Alexander, Rashard Alexander, and Kenai Alexander.  He was preceded in death by his brother the late Kenneth Barnes and will be missed by many other family and friends.
