Jeannette Gregory Obituary

On October 9, 2018, Jeannette Marie Nelson Gregory, 65, passed away suddenly of natural causes.   Jeannette Gregory was the youngest daughter of the late Roscoe L. Nelson, Sr. and Emily Cary Nelson.  She graduated from Hope High School in 1961.  She worked for AT&T (Ma Bell) and then she transferred to the Rhode Island Medical Center until her retirement in 2005.

Jeannette leaves behind to cherish her memory, her only son, Kevin Gregory (Fall River, MA), two grandchildren Jeannelle and Aaron; a sister Shirley Nelson Williams (Round Rock, TX).  She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Gibbs and her brother Roscoe Nelson, Jr.  She leaves behind five nieces Deborah Nelson Bush (East Providence, RI), Anita Williams (Houston, TX), Karen Causey (Round Rock, TX) Stacey Thomas (Conyers, GA) Roxanne Nelson (Pawtucket, RI) and three nephews:  Ralph Gibbs (Cranston, RI), Jesse Jones (North Providence, RI), and Anthony Williams (Round Rock, TX).

She was married to George Gregory and many years later she was a long-life companion to the late Alfred Sizemore. She leaves many friends to cherish her memory including good friends Dianna Crowder, Dollie Catala, and Curtis Strickland.  Jeannette loved playing cards, bingo, and going to the casinos.  She had great fellowship with the seniors as St. Martin de Porres Senior Center. Every Friday she met with her Medical Center co-workers and friends at the FOP Lodge 7 for dinner.
